I hear ya in a certain way. Though there a lot of people here working (more or less) hard for some projects, publish it here at the sneap forum and permanently hear stuff like ""nice but there should have been....." Even when the mix is finished. I think, succesful "Giants" like Andy or Jeff could laugh about it, because their success gives em right. Each one has an opinion...so what. I don´t think, Kaomao wanted to put Andy´s or Jeff´s work down really.

Yeah, but isn´t the world full of whiners and nitpickers? I were often in situations, where I worked hard for a song and someone I have shown it, began to criticize and.."you could do this, I don´t like, how".

Some people got used to...and for some people it takes to overflow the barrel And I think, this happened here.

you seem to forget, and its isnt just this thread, that when/if you come on here with some critical statement you are also talking about a project that I'VE put months of hard work into. So many times I have to bite my tongue because someone will say something and have no idea about the background, effort and time put into what they are effectively dispelling, talking like some expert from behind a computer screen from buttfuck nowhere aged 15. How you can pass comment about one teaser solo I have no idea, you could quite easily pull one solo off Dead heart and talk about it in the same context.

Andy while I do understand your point and we all appreciate the hard work and effort you put into these records. I have to say that I to prefer Jeff's older style of soloing. Now don't get me wrong I am not saying he isn't a good player or a god among men cause he is in fact that damn good. The man is totally professional down to earth and as humble as they come.

Personally I have heard a full leaked version of the title track, an instrumental version of it anyway. I personally am disapointed in the guitar tone. Just not what I was expecting. The drums sounds absolutely fucking amazing. You are a god among men when it comes to drums that's for damn sure we just have differing opinions on tone, which is fine. I am not saying its bad, cause its not, it is just not my preference. I would have liked to hear something a bit less throaty. I am not sure its the ENGL or the 5150 thats causing the sound that I am hearing, maybe its just the combination but its just not for me.

Does that mean I don't respect you. FUCK NO. Dude you are the hardest working guy in the biz right now. The new Exodus sounds fucking INCREDIBLE. Megadeth and Testament both blew me away. But something with the way the bass and the guitar are interacting on this I am not a fan of. Maybe what I heard was a premixed version or a "wichers" mix. I dunno, I am guessing its unmastered as its really not slamming the meters in my studio, but I am unsure.

I hold you in the highest esteem Andy, if it wasn't for you and your little piece of the internet here I would still have awful sounding demos, but I am proud to say from your advice and many others on this forum I have learned a whole shit ton and I thank you all for it.

I can send you a link to the mix I have heard if you like. I am not a fan of posting bootlegs for everyone to download. But I was very excited to hear this album. My opinions above wont prevent me from buying it, it wont prevent me from listening to it, and it sure as hell wont turn me off to any future projects you work on.

the version you were listening to might well have been a rough mix Peter or his assistant did for Warrel to practice or track to.
or it might have been something that peter sent Andy to comment on.
or perhaps a roughmix Andy did for Warrel to track vox to.
or perhaps Andy edited the drums on Peter's roughmix and sent it back so Warrel can track vox over it...
or anything else....
how can you even voice an opinion if you clearly have no idea what version of a mix your talking about?

I mean, everyone is entiteled to his opinion (if it's necessary for an adult to voice it all over the internet is a different question), but to give an illegally leaked roughmix a bad review is just plain stupid.

Sometimes I feel people feel more important when they find something in the big guy's recording they can criticize, like "look, I found something you could have done better, don't I have good ears? *pat on the back requested*"

noone's gonna pat anyones back for that, it's just plain annoying.
