Yeah I know there's another thread buried somewhere in this trash heap of forgotten threads but I don't feel like finding it.

The new Nevermore album is fucking BRILLIANT. That's right. Brilliant. Every song on there has something that makes it great. It's short for a Nevermore album clocking in at 40 minutes, but I think it works better this time around. It seems like the band just decided to make the coolest 40 minutes of music they could produce and then said, "It's done. Any longer and we'll fuck it up." I've heard just about every type of solo there is to hear but the solos on this album give me hope that there is still plenty to be explored in the way of solos. Way to go guys. I'll be looking for tourdates.

It's good, but I wouldn't say it's brilliant, I actually prefer Dead Heart. I only have the promo though and the production kind of sucks. I'm waiting for theend to stock the special edition.

It's okay. Got some rocking riffs but everything about it seems overdone - production, vocals, solos. Then again, i'm a METAL fan, its my job to be critical :p

emm, still didn't get it. :Smug:
however, I've been informed by around 20-30 reliable sources that this time production sucks big time. as for the solos, we all know Loomis can't do wrong.
I'm patiently waiting to get a copy.
my favourite is Politics Of Ecstasy. :headbang:

New Nevermore is highly disappointing for me. It seems that everything with this album was rushed.

I think the new Nevermore is ok, but I'm disappointed with it. Dead Heart is better to me. Loomis should be doing some freakin' awesome riffs, moreso than he does in the new album. It's like there is something missing. He's an awesome guitarist.

@loudsilence: yeah i know what you're talking about.
All the songs off DHIADW was so damn well-composed, everything was just on place and the riffs were great.
Most songs off the new one kinda lacks that :erk:

Like I've been saying forever, the only people who think Dead Heart is better than EoR are the people who got introduced to the band with that particular album. EoR sounds far more like what Nevermore should sound like as opposed to Dead Heart. It was just too damn straightforward for a Nevermore album.

I think EoR is much better, and so do most Nevermore fans.

The HORRIBLE production ruined this release for me! There are a few fans on the Nevermore forum who have reworked the disc with good results which makes me wonder WTF the band was thinking when their fans are excited about altering their product!
