New Nevermore

I don't really think the production is that bad. Perhaps the bass drum could have used a bit more kick and the vocals could be slightly louder but really, this album is all about kicking some fucking ass and it does just that. I think the riffs are wicked as hell. And the lyrics are quite thought provoking as well.

I agree, the production isn't 100%, but what is it with all of these complainers?? This is METAL we are listening to after all, not an overproduced pop record.

Yes. Spot on. Thank God someone understands. Sometimes I prefer things to have a somewhat gritty production, it makes it more intense to listen to. The whole "wall of sound" thing sounds pretty awesome on this kind of record.

I don't mind the vocals at all until he starts shrieking. It's not a dislike then, it just sounds simply irritating to listen to. Like in the verse of We Disintegrate... once he starts doing that it's like I've got to ignore the vocals, and I think my taste is pretty good. I just tend not to like singers that sing really high or shriek like that, about the only exception is Chris Cornell.

I love Warrel Danes vocal delivery, and I love Nevermore, Dead heart is not only liked by Noobs either it is a great album (I have all of them and that is one of the best)
I like a slick production, treble at a maximum, and everything in it's right place
The new Nevermore album sounded crappy from the mp3's, I am getting the disc today and hope that it sounds better!!
as for as the songs, they have a fat sound!!!

Can't wait to hear actual disc!!

Nevermore ain't supposed to be pretty! The production of EOR complements the brutal honesty and nihilistic undercurrents of Warrel's philosophy...

Like I've been saying forever, the only people who think Dead Heart is better than EoR are the people who got introduced to the band with that particular album. EoR sounds far more like what Nevermore should sound like as opposed to Dead Heart. It was just too damn straightforward for a Nevermore album.

I think EoR is much better, and so do most Nevermore fans.

I belong to the people that got introduced to Nevermore through DHIADW, yet I still think EoR is better, in a few aspects.

But still, since the styles of the two albums are quite different, then you shouldnt be able to compare them. It just comes down to which one you like better.

Production COULD be better, but this was the way it became.. ( you don't think they MADE it that way on purpose? o_O )

dunno.
all in all, i totally love the new album.....
its sweeeeeeeeeeeeet

LOOMIE! Nice to see ya! :p Complete with bouncing knights!
The new Nevermore seems to kick ass...I trust things that come from Seattle...<_< >_>
Bad production or not, it sounds good to me!
