been looking for a forum for me to post about extreme metal. I joined and looked at Encyclopedia Metallum forums and it's mostly filled with metal gatekeepers and nothing there really interested me. At least on RYM forums I can actually have a meaningful conversation there, but its only in one thread and when the topic arises.

basically, really into death metal, for the most part. Subgenres i like the best are Technical Death Metal, a bit of Dissonant Death Metal, and some Death Doom Metal.
I like the bands that do really weird riffs, like Demilich and Timeghoul. Disharmonic Orchestra's second album i also love. For Death Doom I usually listen to Unholy and Wormphlem. For Dissodeath its Gorguts and Gigan. Straight tech death i go to early Gojira, Lost Soul's fourth album, and Cryptopsy.

also do music myself, i have a metal project called Rultch. came out with a demo recently. next demo i'm gonna hunt for a drummer, do death metal vocals, and do more angular riffs. kinda hope to take something like Brutal Prog and apply it to Tech Death. better production is something i'm also gonna strive for.

but uhh yeah hope to have meaningful conversations here, seems active enough
