That trans am is an exact reverse of the camaro with some new stuff photoshopped on... I don't really like where they've gone with the new mustangs looks wise but that Cobra would be fun to drive and I do like some of the choices they've made performance wise. The Camaro at least looks good all around and I like the direction they are considering for the interior. I also like that it may well be an inexpensive car for the base model.

The Camaro is modeled after the 67-69 era.
The Mustang after my 2nd fav car of all time, the 1970 fastback GT. (#1 being the 66' Cobra 427CJ)

The problem i have, I do like both models, but now the originals are diminished, IMO.

I have long wanted to do a frame up restoration of a 70' fastback or a 69 RS/SS. Money has not allowed me too so far, but it is close. But with these coming out, I may shift to a cuda, GTO or 71 Camaro SS (round tail lights! Love em'!!). But I heard they are retro'ing those as well.

Fucking Detroit, come out with some new shit, quit trying to re-run classics....

I'm thinking of getting a Shelby myself.. but 500HP is too much of a waste, if u compare it to the differential in torque, it's all noise and not much speed in the long run.. not to mention the fuel consumption.
