I really like the 2-day festival style of show for the reason that it has more of a 'Festival' type of feel to it (2 partying days are better than 1). Plus, you have an opportunity to see a few more awesome bands that you probably haven't seen, or even heard of in some cases.
One day with a steller line-up, on the other hand, will be awesome for the reason that perhaps you might feel that you are getting more band for the buck. Sometimes it seems better to pay $50 to see 5 mainstream bands rather than the same $50 to see 10 underground projects and 2 headliners.
