totally sick!
it's not the best song from their new album but maybe the weirdest one

I think I have to cut my veins again :heh:
Does anybody likes Portishead apart from me?

that's my favorite track off the album. the last half of the song is OMGOMGOMG

great album, very unexpected and quite a departure from the older albums.

well worth the wait imo.

I find that drum beat to be quite abrasive, in a bad way. Singers quite nice though. I suppose Trip-hop is something I should look into more. Where should I start with this group?

Portishead's self-titled is a good start for them. Also check out The other Bristol area trip-hop such as Massive Attack and Tricky.

Come to think of it, a lot of what Bjork does can be considered trip-hop.

they don't have too much albums :))
two studio albums (dummy and portishead - the second one is my fav) a live album with the new york philharmonic orchestra and the new one, called third.
you have to listen to all. you'll love them.

I also recommend early morcheeba and massive attack (protection and mezzanine are the best) albums.
tricky is also good, but I prefer morcheeba and massive attack.

get dummy for sure.

also check out early tricky and massive attack for good trip-top.

and I guess DJ Shadow - Endtroducing is considered trip-hop too by people, which is a top 10 album of mine.
