TD,

looks like you tried to start one thread on this album? What did you think of it.

It was much more mellow than I had expected. Sound is good. I still need to listen more though. I have a tough time reviewing music without listening to it multiple times. I notice something different each time and sometimes I start to like an album more and more(Armored Saint Symbol of Salvation), or hate it more and more. (St. Anger anyone)

There is one cheesy song where I think I heard him use half their album titles. THat sounded funny--i will have to check that out again.

So far (listened to it 3 times) don´t like it very much. It seems kinda weak assed, unfresh, good ideas lacking and all 80s nostalgic. Have they ever written a cheesier song than Angel? They seem to rip themselves off a lot as well. Something is telling me they didn´t bother with any kind of effort in studio
I quite like the mellow song Worth Fighting For which reminds me of some Saxon tunes. I heard there is going to be first real gay video on this song. I know Rob Halford displays his orientation proudly, but I have to ask myself if I really want to see men fucking to a rock song on TV before actually watching it.

OK, Now I am laughing my ass off!!!! Are you serious about the video?? i can't see the rest of the band being into it. Angel must be the one where he mentions sentinel and all the old album titles. I haven't figured out names of songs. Just got it yesterday.

It's definitely a light album. I was expecting the PAinkiller or Ram IT Down?

The song you´re talking about is Eulogy and is not as cheesy as Angel.
I got the video rumors from some czech metal message board. We will see.
I wouldn´t mind if they musically went Jugulator direction. With Halford why not.

I'll listen later to Angel. I'll probably laugh my ass off.

Johnnie, Do you listen to OVerkill at all? I think new album was released in Europe, not U.S. yet. Just wondering how good it is?

Halford is believed to say those things about gay video in Revolver or Metal Edge interview, so go pick it up.
I like Overkill, saw them live few years ago and they slayed. I´ll try to get some info on the album.

I´ll be singing inside out and inside and out and inside and out and inside and out  :hotjump:

Judas rising, Worth fighting for, Angel and Lochness are ok. Deal with the devil, Demonizer are killer tracks. I like the album, but it isn't a Painkiller 2, that's for sure. But I expected something more considering that Halford returned to the band.

I think the more you listen to the album the better it gets. I've been listening to it for a few weeks now and I love it. Reminds me of the 80's tho but I love the 80's. I think this is the album that should have followed Defenders of the Faith, instead we got Turbo, and then the attrocious Ram It Down.

I've listened to it quite a few times and it's just ok. Nothing really outstanding. I think "Lochness" is quite lame to be honest. I don't see myself listening to this album very much. The new BLS is far and away better.

Yes and Painkiller is in my top 5 albums of all time, Jugulator was a step backward, Demolition was vile, and I really do think that AOR is the safe album to make to get some fans back and that the next album will be a bit more daring and heavier.
