New releases on Monday

The Rakoth and Without Face albums are finally going to be released on Monday in Europe (July 23rd in the US). I have to say that I'm delighted in how both have turned out.

Without Face exceeded my expectations with "Astronomicon" on every level. It shows a band on top of their game, and their enthusiasm shines through. I have a sneaky feeling that the album is going to do very well.

The Rakoth album is, for me, a modern day classic. The Digipac designed by Peppe of temnO.unArt is just amazing. Very elegant without straying into "pretentious" territory. Only 3000 of those buggers are being made so make sure you get one while you can.

Actually the Rakoth won't be on Digipac in the US, instead there'll be a free label sampler CD. If you specifically wanted the digipac you may have to use a Euro mail order. I'll see if it's possible for Earache to mail direct from their mail order.

I just found out that the Earache webstore will give you an option of which Rakoth version you want, so that's cool.

The website is being redesigned for the album-release, and we aim at a re-opening during the first week of august.

got both Without Face cd and Rakoth digipack today (thank you Lee!). The layout of Planeshift by peppe is great and the music, ehm... well... hehehe... i agree with "a modern day classic" . Without face is very good indeed, i think that the artwork is a bit too much "dark-metal-clichè", but the music is surprising... i would have putted a bigger photo of Julie, but I'm the usual italian sex-addicted you know...
