As I look back to the festivities last september, I want to apologize to Royal Hunt for not being there emotionally.

Every year the same thing happens, Glenn puts out a few "who the hell is that" and I did my research although not good enough to realize that Royal Hunt REALLY deserved the second slot if not the first one. I'm finding that the records that band has put out are AWESOME wayy up in my top 20 IMO. My faves are the ones with Jack West just gives me the chills.

This year im planning to do an in depth research of the whole roster.

Anyway, I just wanted to let that out because it was eating me alive

I leave you here with the latest news from their site.

Confirmed track list: Episode X (Arrival) – End of the Line – King for a Day – The Well – Army of Slaves – Shadowman – Back to Square One – Blood Red Stars – The Last Leaf – Falling Down – Episode X (Departure).

The Album will be called "X".

Royal Hunt ranks right at the top for me as a draw. Their entire catalog is full of quality material...especially the "John" West stuff which are my favorites too. I find it odd that it was so late in the game getting RH to PPUSA. Boals is great singer in his on right & he fits right in. I very much look forward to the new release.

Can't wait for this record, I enjoy every single Royal Hunt album, I'm sure this will be no different. Frankly I thought the last one was quite possibly their best yet, so I'm extra excited. Very, very upset i had to miss them this past year, I can only pray they eventually make it back.

They played "Back to Square One" live last year and I really liked it. Looking forward to the new album.

I thought they were pretty incredible too. I too though didn't do enough research on the band before Progpower but after their set I got like 4 or their discs. I was very surprised though why so many people were disappointed by their set in September. I think the problem was that they were the same night as Sabaton and DSO who broke the house down. The only band that really managed to get some reaction after that was Crimson Glory, at least in my view.

RH experience hasn't been the same, for me, since D.C. Cooper left. "Paradox" is by far my favorite release.

A while ago I asked someone in the forum to rank the Opeth discography. I think Palabra said that it was like ranking different kinds of caviar. I think Royal Hunt has had some of the best vocalist in the genre.

I also felt the same way for DC Cooper in Paradox until I listened to The Mission.

Anyway Its just me :kickass:

Great group. The last album took me a while to get into, but now I really enjoy it. Love the 2 Cooper albums. I think Moving Target may be just as good as Paradox. And the JOHN West albums were quite good as well. I am very very very disappointed that I didn't make the show last year. Hopefully I will see them one of these days.

I didn't realize they changed their website. Looks better. I am thrilled that they are releasing another album so quickly.

My favorite Royal Hunt record had long-been Paradox, until Collision Course came out. God damn, what a fantastic album. Those two, along with (to a slightly lesser extent) Moving Target, The Mission, and Paper Blood are my favorites of the bunch.
