New Slough Feg available for streaming

Should just got down to the venue if its in town and see if the band can do anything...

Thats what I do atleast. Sometimes I get in, sometimes I don't. As long as its close, I don't mind.

Kill the fucking voiceovers! I can understand it being used to discourage file sharing, but having them interfere with a stream on the label's own website is dumb beyond belief. But who cares when the music is this good...damn, The Sea Wolf is pretty damned epic for a 2:29 song.

I listened to the first 10 tracks, and I loved it. Did you guys get an error on the last three?

GOD DAMNIT

My sound currently doesn't work. I'll have to fix this shits fast.

Quick question: Does it sound better than Atavism?

From one listen, the album is more focused, and more 70's Judas Priest sounding. I just listened to Atavism again, and it was much better than I remembered though, so I can't determine how much better; moreover, I thought the it was better than Atavism while listening. The songwriting sounded great though, and the album reminded me of a continuation of Traveller.

I ended up seeing them last night, and they played a bunch from Hardworlder.

EDIT: and four people showed up for Slough Feg :kickass:

God fucking damn did Slough Feg kick ass... Full Report after resting!

More a report on my night than the actual show... but yeah:

So yeah. Saturday went down to the Urban Lounge to go see (The Lord Weird) Slough Feg. Got in the venue with little problem, and sat around and talked to Mike for a bit. Very amusing guy.

For some reason there was this weird energy drink they had stuffed in the band fridge called a "Bomba". The bottle looks like a grenade and opens like a grenade and I am fairly certain that if you were to drink a grenade, it would have the same taste as Bomba. This was easily the nastiest energy drink I have EVER had. I'm fairly certain this opinion was shared. That said, I still finished the one I had opened. Never waste a free drink.

On the subject of free drinks, for some reason when I went to the bar to get a beer, they gave me free coors. Once again, can't argue with free.

Watched Adrian play Addams Family pinball for a while. Contemplated doing a rendition of "Pinball Wizard", but I didn't feel like humiliating myself. Talked music with em all for a while, which is obviously my favorite subject of any conversation.

Anyway, first band got on at about 11pm, I think (I had entered the venue around 8). Couldn't get much of what they were playing as they had amp problems. They stopped to change the fuse in the amp, started playing again, and then stopped and left. Can't remember their name either.

Second band... Ugh. I REALLY didn't like them. They took waaaay too long too.

Then, the moment I've been looking forward to, Slough Feg.

What can I say. PERFECT. Atleast thats what I thought. Even better than the Heathen Crusade II set. Easily in the top of sets I've seen live. Songs I can remember being played:

Return of Dr. Universe
Tiger Tiger
Hiberno-Latin Invasion
Eumeaus the Swineherd
High Passage/Low Passage
Asteroid Belts
Professors Theme
Sky Chariots
Traders and Gunboats

There were more, even though their set got cut short due to the time (I think). Still a great show.

Got a sexy Hardworlder shirt as well!
