New Slough Feg available for streaming

Haha, yeah, its pretty crazy.

And, for the fuck of it... heres a pic of me sporting the wonderful Hardworlder shirt (I got the last one they had with them on the tour, as far as I know).

I like it way better than the traveller shirt.

That said, my traveller shirt doesn't fit me (Too big), so it just hangs on the wall. Was gonna buy another one, but was low on the cash. Atavism shirt is gonna be retired to the wall also. Don't think I'll wear it now that I have this uber-sexy one.

If you feel like selling your Traveller shirt (assuming that it is pretty big) I might be interested so let me know (but probably not, right?)

You can buy them from the band online now (on their merch page), they have all sizes... but yeah, its staying on the wall.

Also, Hardworlder shirts should be on there in a few weeks.

I'm not sure if anyone recognizes this yet but Hardworlder is fucking magnificent. This is some of the best songwriting out of Scalzi. Less metal-oriented, more song-oriented.

Man, I listened to this one 50 times when I first got it, and then stupidly forgot about it because I had to PACK YER SHIT! and move. It was very strong material though, need to snag it from ye olde shelf again.

Current favourite Slough Feg is Down Among the Deadmen, only beating Twilight of the Idols currently because it's a stronger listen from start to finish. Or something.

Fucking right. I am amazed with this album since both "Traveler" and "Atavism" didn't say much to me compared with the previous Feg albums. It's so deep into the 70s and blues magic, being a total Thin Lizzy worship, even more than before.

Still haven't heard Atavism, although I own everything else from them so probably should pick it up eventually. I've avoided it because nobody here seems too impressed by it.

I really, really, really enjoy Traveller. It's pretty sci-fi sounding which doesn't really make it a Slough Feg album as IotS has pointed out before, but it is still pretty god damn rad. In particular the last track, fuuuuuuuuck the way it fades out with "no... more mercy... nooo, more lies... we now control your miiiiinnddd..." is freakin' genius.

As much as Hardworlder totally destroys Atavism, the latter is still a very good album with a lot of strong songs, good hooks, and lots of replay value.
Nowhere near the rest of the band's catalogue, though.

We talked to the 2nd guitarist from Slough Feg last night and he mentioned that they have 5 or 6 new songs done... including one really celtic sounding one and one slow, doomy sounding one. sounds ace. nice guy too.

Last night I wrote a song that totally cops Slough Feg, which therefore cops Iron Maiden, which therefore cops Thin Lizzy. It was pretty okay.
