New Small clip of 5150 MK II- Engl Impulse- Redchannel

Hey guys

Just a small clip of another impulse test i was conducting

I used the red channel this time with a high and low pres engl v30 4x12 impulse cab, through boogex and hosted by nuendo

Drums are dfh

I cant seem to shake this....DARK sound...everyone keeps telling me it sounds too dark? I tried remedying this, but dont know if its worked (havent got the best speakers in the world to monitor...)

The tone is great IMO.

Is there any bass in here ? If not it would be great to have some, then we could say if the tone was too dark or not.

Thanks guys! I appreciate it, yes there was bass! i toned it down alot since my mate said it was waaaay to boomy in the mix before, i could turn it up a tad if you think i should?

Impulses were engl v30 cab

And englv30 cab high pres

If anyone wants them ill upload

Settings on the 5150 II were

Pre:5
Low:7
mid:2
High:7
Post:1.5
Resonance:7
Presence:5

boogex i had the green button thing on the eq graph pulled all the way left
And the dry pre at 0.0 db i think, just the usual setting

Well straight out of the preamp thingy at the back of my 5150 II to my M-Audio DMP3 DI 1/4" then straight into my 1/2 spidf or whatever you call it in my audiophile 2469, then to nuendo 3/boogex
