Hey guys. I'm new here. For those who don't know me, my name's Carlos. This looks like a great place to get advice on recordings, and since I'm kinda new to this, I decided to post a little clip I recorded about 30 mins ago.

The song is titled "Frontline", and it was recorded through my Preamp-out, into my toneport, into garageband. There I added some impulse file's I found. I got this idea from Ivan7strings, so prop's to him. The only thing recorded with my 6505+ was the distortion channels, the cleans are from my toneport, but I'll record those later w/ my mesa nomad.

Anyway, here's the song...Give me some advice on what I could do to improve the mix on it. Cheers! :kickass:

I thought it sounded pretty damn good. Nice work, and welcome to the forum.

Edit: And really good drum programming. Sounds very natural.

Thanks man. I used the stock set from ezdrummer. I do have DKFH EZX, but I find it a bit too "generic" for my liking. This is the first time I've recorded with the normal set though. I'm liking it so far.
