Of course, you are right. But I think I can express my opinion as well. I was merely expressing my disappointment, because I really didnt think the new songs would sound like the ones on their previous 2 releases. Im probably not such a fan as I used to be, but its not because of me, but because of DTs music.

It's because of you (and Gaia): we can't experience and appreciate the same things all the time with the same passion. Under "same thing" I mean the band here - with all factors involved there will be a group of people who'd drift away for this or that reason, but that's only cuz of soemthing personal, not because music turned out different. Sometimes we expect something we can't explain, and such expectations are never satisfied - one doesn't knwo what he/she/it wants.

It's like with sex: first oral is OK, than vaginal is so enough, but then you go fingering, then straight into the ass... and then you switch to boiz or something and die trying to fuck yourself in the ass.

Maybe I'm waiting the whole album because I don't want to believe myself being disappointed by one or two song that I heard live in a crappy video... I just don't want to be disappointed... it's in my subconscious I guess... hehehehe!

Wow, never thought i'd see this posted here! I thought everyone agreed that DD was easily their worst but seems taste is a strange thing!

No, i think their least-good albums are Skydancer and Character. Hopefully my opinion won't change after i hear the next album. And DD quite does it for me, if we count the bonus tracks (I, deception and The poison well); Cathode ray sunshine has the best DT riff out there, and Single part of two is just brilliant, along with Format C.

You're a bodom fan (judging by your name). HateCrew is one of the worst Bodom albums, IMO (weak guitar, lame solos, the starting point of CoB getting boring) although I can not and will not invalidate your opinion on DT, you don't have any reasons why (that album is best). Support is good.

EDIT: UndoControl supported it for ya. Whoops. (I do agree with those points, I do admit, though it is one of my least favorite from them).

Deathroll wasn't nearly as bad as THAT what they released lately. I mean, this time it's go to me - lamed me out like a motherfucker, I didn't even bother to pick up a CD (a bunch of singles were good, mussay).

Children of Boredom and Trivium fans need special treatment - tehy are fucking special... going to both local gigs, btw... well, may be not Trivium, but CoB for sure... yes, I'm a hypocrite.

We did it at the Sydney gig and Stanne = confused.

He then did it himself to the croud in a later gig (see video).

I really enjoyed Damage Done, has some of my favourite songs on it. When I think about it though, pretty much every album has some of my favourite songs. This is why Dark Tranquillity are the kings of MeloDeath.

The new song was awesome, I was there on the night that video was filmed. Rips you apart live.

You are so wrong, man. Of course, I change, DT guys change, everything changes, and so does the appreciation of things (music, sex, oral fist fuck, you name it...). However, its a matter of taste being cultivated by a band you like. I have followed DT on their way, and Ive had hard time dealing with the twists of their style (I remember hating Projector at first). But that was a part of the evolution - I always knew I simply had to give it a chance, because it was something new, unexpected. I listened to them and disclosed more and more of the beauty that lied therein. Ive become a demanding bastard, so to speak, regarding DT. Then they released DD, and I simply couldnt get into it, no matter how hard I tried, and I still dont like it. The same with Character. So, yes, its me, but its also the band. I dont think I got stuck, they (among others) taught me how to appreciate quality music, and I simply go on and demand it from them. Its them who got stuck I think. Its the same with me and Metallica, Sepultura, Megadeth etc. (hard to compare them with DT, but you get the point).

It's there, an embedded YouTube thing - it's also on their MySpace as well. But why does it say "untitled" new song? I was under the impression it was called "Where Death Is Most Alive".

Not good enough, sadly, and to me it's a downward progression (a REgression?!!? ). I think Haven was the peak of their creativity, Damage done should vitality even though it was starting to fade a bit, Character continued in pretty much the same way DD did and by the sound of this song they're staying on that track.
Personally I'd like some more experimentation and uniqueness in the songs, one of the best things with DT has always been that they're not inflames (good band but boring because they do the same thing over and over), but sadly they're walking down that road :/

But I'm not going to judge the new album, haven't heard more than this relatively crappy live recording. Might be a killer album. Even though this indicates it's not what I'd want. But hey.. even character had some great songs on it so..

I picked the name HateCrewDeathroll cause it was the album out at the time and I definitly still support that album. Alexi lost the uniqueness of Children Of Bodom but HCDR still has many memorable riffs, the best keyboard solo in the world (Chokehold Cocked and Loaded) and the best Slayer cover Silent Scream. Anyway.....I know my shit I've heard every DT song and have every album, Damage Done is the best one. Well actually Character comes really close but Damage Done sticks out in my head more
