new song

started this song last night worked on it maybe 2 hours. made with the toneport gx and garageband. any critique on my guitar tone would be helpful, ive been working on getting the right tone

i feel like the guitar doesnt have as much punch as it should, like it should hit harder. any advice on how to make the tone more powerful?

how do you get the lag effect? never looked into it much

well i did it the most basic way possible i think and i just cut a small clip of the song and copy/pasted a bunch of time to get what i was looking for. but i beleive there are programs which do it a hell of alot better and faster than me.

Sounds like there has been a massive mid scoop in the form of a medium sized notch (as in not an epic thin notch). I couldn't tell you which frequencies though as I'm not the type of person that just has that information built in to me . But yeah I reckon boost some mids a bit more. Not sure that this will give it punch though.

Oh and you will need a bass in the mix for more low end punch.

yea ill definately try giving more mids, do you think i should bring the high and low down on the eq also ir just boost the mids up
