not so great....

That's defnitely the weaker of the two tracks, but I still think it's quality SoP.

Why do you deem it "not so great?"

Neurotic Records, SoP's label, just made 200 pre-order packages available for the die-hard fans. The package contains the album, a poster and a t-shirt. When they launched the pre-order page (click here), the text on the back of the shirt was "With iron ropes, I strap him down.. And hard", but they had to change it due to all of the die-hard fans refusing to buy a shirt with a backprint that gay

Spawn of Possession is probably the only new technical death i've enjoyed in the last few years. I always forget to put Cabinet on(don't think I have since buying it).

This new stuff is just insane. Technical & intricate while having some nice flowing sections. Spawn of Possession could have changed the guitar tone & production around because the sound is exactly like cabinet. I like when bands change the sound around more from album to album especially when they're slow writers.

Listened to Lash By Lash, awesome clean interlude. Very good song.

Already pre-ordered my large pack. Now for the long wait. Is it seriously getting released in May?:waah:

It seemed like the new Psycroptic in a way... Just loads and loads of technical riffs that didn't keep a melody. In the Cabinet it seemed like there was actuallly a melody or common theme to them and you won't know which song was which. I didn't hear the technical crap along with their catchy riffs, its just seemed like a load of riffs that are technical but nothing keeping me after listening to the new songs.

Hmm... In my opinion this stuff is much more accessible (i.e. more definable song structuring) than the new psycroptic... Both bands do require multiple listens to enjoy fully, however (as with a lot of very intricate metal).
