New Symphony X Wallpaper!

I have sent several keyboard scores and the webmaster hasent put them. Why?

They're waiting to be approved by the band, who are a bit busy at the moment. MJR has given me the okay to authorize photos and artwork to be added to the site, but stuff like tabs and the like, they have to check themselves.

Yes, Luis, we've had this conversation about half a dozen times now. I'm sorry but I can't make the band read your mail, all I can do is pass it on and let them know it's there. If you want to keep discussing it, please e-mail me; complaining about it over and over here isn't going to change anything.

This is complete blasphemy!!!

I think everyone here would agree that we are ALL more interested in the band taking some time off to disect Luis's SX keyboard scores rather than the guys working hard on the new album.

SECONDED! WTF do we need a new album for anyway? They already have like 6 or some shit... what we need is more keyboard scores!!!

Okay here's a question for ya'll, along these lines. Do people really expect that just because they send something to a band, the band MUST put it on their website? I'm just not understanding how indignant some people get over this..

I think we all should understand that, bands are not superhuman or the perfect human beings on earth. We must like them for their music and we shouldn't be sorry for anything else. May be they don't want to be bothered with these stuff ? I don't mean any offence with this, but they have a life of their own, and may be they want to live like normal people instead of surfing the web about fan letters and stuff all day long. I respect that. Cause this is not an obligation for being a "musician".

There are also some musicians doing the opposite way, and i also respect them. It makes good sympathy among fans. Marcel Coenen is a good example. I love the guy, he is like a friend of his fans, he posts his forum very often, answers everything.

Jax: don't bother anymore, just tell everyone that there's actually nothing you can do and if they don't like how things are, they can go and create their unofficial fan site

Luis: in your brand new unofficial fan site, you can put on the main page a counter with big letters saying "365 days and still waiting for SX to put my stuff on their damn site"

Everybody: happy :)

I still think we should sticky his classical influences thread, or at least link to it in the forum rules.

Anyway, while it can be frustrating to not see something you worked hard on to be acknowledged, there is legitimate reason to it. We still <3 you, Luis :D

Is every tab on the website checked by the band?

My 2 cents on the issue is that the band owes everyone on the forum NOTHING. If someone wants to tab out the entire symphony x catalogue, then that's a choice they make. They have made a conscious decision to do this, and as far as i know there are no guarentees of the material being posted, so how can you bitch about it?

On second thought, they should put up everything that people post. Now put my wallpaper ont he site!!
