She kind of looks like a man in drag who's face is melting off, like there is to much of trying to stay thin going on.
She was much cuter when she was chubby I think. Um, I could even listen to Nightwish back then too.

um... Have you by chance heard her giving a go at Whitesnake. Quickly that pleasure may turn to pain.

Covers are typically satire when someone goes so far out of their genre/niche, as far as I'm concerned. Tarja's voice works for what she does.

I've seen her out and about once when she was in LA right before the show. Yes, she's kind of into herself, or not really one to interact with fans outside of the show. I don't care about that any more than I care about her business dealings. They don't involve me, and if she's going to be a bitch when she's interacting with fans, I prefer she stay to herself. On stage, I think she plays the crowd, has a lot of fun, and really reaches out with a lot of charisma.

All I ask of a band or an artist is the following:

1. Have fun on stage, include the audience, and make a connection with your fans there.
2. If you're interacting with me off stage, don't be a super-dick.
3. If you're going to be a super-dick, don't interact with me off stage.

Just found the video for this on YouTube; normally I'd post a link to it, but frankly the amount of damage already done to the structural integrity of this place by the image of Geoff Tate in his skivvies could become catastrophic if the audio feed from this train wreck of a video were added.

I'm posting this essentially just to be a dick. (haha. Dick. I'm so damn funny it's painful.)

that and her introduction to it was one of the more awkward things ive had to watch a singer do onstage in a while.

The whole world knows my feelings on Tarja Turunen-Cabuli. I have kind of mellowed out since my infamous screed on these pages. So, I decided to give this a listen. Vocally, it is not bad, more Lacuna Coil than Nightwish. The music is OK, not great, just OK. The production is HORRIBLE! She is completely overpowered in the chorus. That said, her last CD sucked King Kong nuts. The cover video that was posted is an embarrassment. But, all in all, in the words of that great viking philosopher, Marco Tapani Hietala, "I think she fell for some very bad advice." It was true when he said it. It is just as true now. However, if this song is any indication, the CD she is putting out now is better than "My Winter Storm". Sadly, that is not saying much.

*Sigh* I really tried to give it a chance. I really did. I just can't get into her solo stuff. It's just very lukewarm. It's an improvement over her debut but still not enough to make me want to buy it or even listen to it again.
