New Testament Streaming!

It's a great record. I've heard it and will be buying it the day it's released. Apparently it's coming with a bonus DVD also - cannot wait.

By the way, I just ran across an old interview from the Clash Of the Titans era in which Dave Mustaine, Scott Ian, and Jeff Hanneman trash talk Testament. I never realized there was a problem with these guys and Testament especially since Megadeth toured with Testament right around the same time.

GW: What about Testament?
MUSTAINE: Who? You mean the guys who are ripping off our drum riser and stage moves, and copying all of Metallica's sounds, and singing like James [Hetfield]?
IAN: And with dance steps laid out on the stage on how to have stage presence. But we didn't mention the name. You did.
MUSTAINE: This magazine called them the Lennon and McCartney of Thrash. but aren't they more like Simon and Garfunkel?
IAN: All I've got to say is: where would they be without these three bands and Metallica? I just find Testament hard to even take seriously. Whatever they do, I suppose they do it well, but it just isn't them. Every time you hear them on the radio, you think Metallica.
HANNEMAN: I heard them the other day and I could have sworn it was Metallica.

Jesus - they were all being rather harsh you'd have to say, wouldn't you. Clash of the Egos more like it!

If my memory does not trick me, Testament supported Anthrax back on the Among The Living Tour here in Germany. Never heard that there was any problem between the bands.

Yeah, I found it funny that they were willing to tour with Testament to make money, but still had it in them to trash talk. Not cool in my book. I don't know if these guys ever made up or not so I don't judge them, but still, not cool.

Kinda funny how Mustaine asks them to be on Gigantour every year now. Not to mention they have the best vocalist and guitarist's out of all those bands by far. Not even debatable, Skolnick could outplay them all with one hand.

Like I said though, I don't know if they've made up or not. They may all be friends now for all I know. That was a long time ago and things change.

That wasn´t very nice of them. Funny how things turn around, nowadays Testament have more cred than any of them and people listen to Metallica and wish they´d sound like Testamant.

You know all the trash talking is pretty funny.

One thing about Testament is they have always stayed true. They never sold out like Metallica or created any terrible albums like Megadeth. They have one of the most underrated vocalists in Chuck Billy of all time.

I just saw Testament a few weeks ago. They were fucking brutal and simply amazing.

Even Anthrax IMHO went to shit in the 90's after Joey left.

Testament rips and will blow Anthrax, Metallica, and Megadeth right off of the stage

To be honest I think the last truly great Megadeth album was Rust In Peace. Risk was the biggest piece of gargbage ever. They had some decent stuff since then but very inconsistant and too many line up changes.

Metallica made bad albums and sold out
