Risk was pretty bad, but the Remixed and Remastered version is better.
i think the remixed remastered version made it sound less original

Plus, with the exception of "The Ritual", Testament never softened, they just got heavier and heavier. Low, Demonic, The Gathering, and now Formation. Slayer never really softened, but Diablous and GHUA were a major shift in style. Exodus just kept on fucking ruling like they always did.anyone else notice since the mid to late 90's basically the big 4 of thrash (slayer, metallica, megadeth, anthrax) have been letting us down and the underrated thrash bands (exodus, testament, flotsam and jetsam, overkill) have been releasing the better and more thrash oriented albums?

I love all the albums up to "Drift". I haven't heard the stuff they put out after. The first two smoke, with "Doomsday" being my favorite.i see you didn't say anything about flotsam and jetsam

first off megadeth, slayer and anthrax all changed styles for a few albums and have never gone back and made a whole album of thrash since the early 90's.
anyways i couldn't find the new testament album anywhere today. every store was sold out and best buy said they wouldn't have it until wednesday
Am I the only person here seriously disappointed with the bonus DVD for the record??? The record itself is awesome, but I am pissed that the Making of ........ was just 13 minutes of crap boring home video footage of pretty much nothing in the studio. And I mean nothing. Anyone else got it yet?

Anthrax personally went to shit when they made Sound of White Noise. I know alot of people like the newer stuff and this is an Anthrax forum so i don't mean to completely discredit that. But I liked the AnTHRASH era. Persistence of Time is one of my favorite albums of all time. I was crushed when Sound of White Noise came out.
GW: What about Testament?
MUSTAINE: Who? You mean the guys who are ripping off our drum riser and stage moves, and copying all of Metallica's sounds, and singing like James [Hetfield]?
IAN: And with dance steps laid out on the stage on how to have stage presence. But we didn't mention the name. You did.
MUSTAINE: This magazine called them the Lennon and McCartney of Thrash. but aren't they more like Simon and Garfunkel?
IAN: All I've got to say is: where would they be without these three bands and Metallica? I just find Testament hard to even take seriously. Whatever they do, I suppose they do it well, but it just isn't them. Every time you hear them on the radio, you think Metallica.
HANNEMAN: I heard them the other day and I could have sworn it was Metallica.
i hear "my god" is the best one that came out after "drift" and "dreams of death" is pretty good
