It's Arjen Anthony Lucassen's band/project...just like you said, he's a songwriter who invites all these instrumentalists and singers to play on his albums.

i downloaded the cd(plan on buying it of course but i cant wait) and its great shit.............Mikael does a lot of singing but also alittle growling.........it's like Bloodbath type growling, fucking evil
