C-C-Cool Beans!!!
Katagory V has acquired a new web designer to overhaul and create a new website for Katagory5.com. The band has also announced a date for an upcoming CD release party

As previously reported, Jens Pohl has announced his retirement as webmaster/designer for Katagory5.com, and as of now, the band has found a suitable replacement. The band has mentioned that this web designer had actually contacted them through their good friend, Rainer Kalwitz, the artist who created the bands album covers for “A New Breed of Rebellion” and “The Rising Anger”. (Thank you Rainer!!!)

The band would like to welcome Michal “Xaay” Lornac and the www.Xaay.pl Design Squadron to the family!!!

Michal and www.Xaay.pl are the masterminds behind the new websites for Behemoth and Nile, as well as designing artwork/graphics for bands such bands was Witchking and Necropahgist. The band is very happy to have them on board! Michal and his team are planning to launch the revamped Katagory V website, which will include many new features, by mid-September. For now, drop by the www.Xaay.pl website and check out the many projects the team is working on, and you will get an idea of what is to come for Katagory V! For now, the current website will still be lightly maintained until that time, but only the news page will be updated periodically until the new website is operational.

Katagory V have also announced that October 27th at Club Vegas in Salt Lake City, Utah has been set as the CD release party date, of which will coincide with the release of the new album, “Hymns of Dissension” early that month. Also appearing on the bill with Katagory V will be up and coming local symphonic/power metal band Ashen Legacy and several others to be announced at a later date.
“Hymns of Dissension” is scheduled for release in the U.S./Canada on October 9th via Nightmare Records and in Europe/Asia on October 16th via Burning Star Records. The album will include two bonus tracks exclusive to the U.S. and European releases.
