Wolverine have completed their new album for Elitist entitled "Cold Light Of Monday".

The band have sent me an MP3 of the track "Tied With Sin" which you can download here: http://www.elitistrecords.co.uk/wolverine.mp3 .

It's a beautiful song. Dark and brooding, and seeped in the kind of quality you'd expect from these guys.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Cool song! Really moody and chilly... Especially the verse and pre chorus -parts had that "loneliness, somethings not right" -feeling.
These guys are so fucking pro! The sound was totally in place and the song parts fit together smoothly. Great!
How many records they have besides this?? 2-3?
Aren't they a bit more proggy? (Though this is just one song) Anyway... Waiting for the record with enthusiasm. :D

And they said if we wait for a follow up of Window Purpose, we won't like it? C'mon, that's a perfect song!!! We would like everything from them!

With one word: superb.
With two words: damn superb.

They were right about "it's still us".

So, when the cover will be revealed? :D

edit: What about a limited edition for CLoM?

Hi all!

is this a fair representation of the album?
We had a hard time picking one track to represent the whole album, but we chose to go with one of the more cathy ones. There's some really sick stuff on there as well :Spin:

We have one EP and one full length before this. Two CD's released on three labels :).
Those who have read some of my posts before know that I'm against prog as a genre in stead of as the concept of doing something new and different, but if you use the term "prog-metal" as a genre, then I guess that our earlier discs are more "prog" :D. But Tied With Sin is one of the most "mainstream" songs on Cold Light Of Monday.

With one word: superb.
With two words: damn superb.
Hehe... Thanks! How's the interview coming along?

i think that meant not to expect 'more of the same'

that's the true spirit of prog according to bagge isn't it? :)

Damn right :D! What's progressive about doing the same thing twice :)?

Here are the lyrics for Tied With Sin:

IX – TIED WITH SIN

“Finally I’ve paid the price I always knew I’d have to pay
And with all these visions of my past surrounding me it’s no question why
I never dared to ask myself why I should let them feed on me
I chose the easy way of hiding deep inside and flee”

“This aching pain inside of me is something I must learn to live
No confessions will undo my sins; I destroyed my life and the one within
If only I had dared back then to reach inside and trust my strength
I never knew I had it in me or was it that I refused to see?”

Reality has finally shattered all of her innocence
All she was and lived has now come crashing upon her
She once had such porcelain eyes, sadly unable to see through the lies

“Here, tied with my sin and my pain, it’s all so clear to me
I see now that life, as I knew it, was just a lie covered in shame”

“Still that lie is a part of me, am I really able to break free?
I’m afraid this craving will be my cell, the place my soul will be laid to rest
Will I dare to face the enemy, take control and set me free?
Or take the easy way of hiding deep inside and flee?”

Reality has finally shattered all of her innocence
All she was and lived has now come crashing upon her
She once had such porcelain eyes, sadly unable to see through the lies

“Here, tied with my sin and my pain, it’s all so clear to me
I see now that life, as I knew it, was just a lie covered in shame
But still, wise from the truth, can I leave the place I called my own?
I guess life, as I never knew it, has forced me to face my worst enemy… my fear…”
