I spotted Kirk Hammett, playing Craps, at the table next to our group, a couple of us that know him, approched, I was blocked by his 2 body guards, they told me I could not approach him, without him first acknowleding me, then I could go up to him.........How cheesey......He acknowledged me & I had a short conversation with him & handshake........He was polite and in a good mood, and I left him so he could continue his gaming.......

How lame... Sounds like you more or less got politely sluffed off by an old friend. Some people just forget where they came from and who their friends were!

I never really knew, it was in a crowd, I was watching The Cult, and Kirk & this guy exchanged words & he started like pushing him, & wanting to fight, so thats when I stepped in between them & just told Kirk to walk away, and handled the rest, a couple pops to his face, and he retreated.....Those were the days......

I did read the story, understand that reason but still don't like it coming from a band that was always talking about how independent they were. They sold out, that is how simple it is and I am disgusted with their rockstart attitude. That is what I was trying to relate.

Remember, Metallica is also the band that said they wouldnt ever
wear makeup and make a music video. Then they made "One" and
all those fucking awful shit-videos for the Blank Album and then when
Load-of-Dogshit came out Krk,Larz and even Jaymz were wearing makeup.
Jason if I remember right was the only metalli-member who didn't.
Cant be sure though since I dont own that Load-of-Dogshit album.
We're all disgusted with their rockstar attitude.
Things Change. Metallica changes. They get older but their music
still sucks ass.
