NYC kinda loses it's appeal when you gotta commute into it every morning. I live about 40min upstate of it, and after seeing all the sites and stuff it's just a hassle.
Meeh, you're just spoiled. You would die if you visited the town where I study and currently live
While I would probably rather live in La Jolla than NYC - for just visiting and having a good time while I'm there on short business trips, NYC has always been a fun trip. Then there's Vegas off course - but as always "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" so I'll say no more (went to Interop conference back in 2007 and 2008 in LV and much fun was had).
I envy you sooo bad for being able to do all those things.
So it's like your aunt-in-law?
San Diego has got some 'touristy' things like the San Diego Zoo, Belmont Park (amusement park right on the beach), Coronado Island, Balboa Park, etc... but the best part about San Diego, IMO, is just the atmosphere - I'd be more than happy to grab a hotel or crash on a friends couch (have done this numerous times) for 3-4 days, and just spend them walking around the downtown areas of La Jolla/San Diego/La Jolla Cove Beach, finding local food places, enjoying the scenery (the women here are spectacular), etc.
Super fun place just to 'chill-out' and take a few days off of real-life!
That said, I'll be in NYC for a week this April, and it'll be my first time visiting the city at an age where I'll be able to take advantage of what the night life has to offer... should be fun.
Don't know what to call her, I don't think I've ever met her either haha.
I wish there was ANY place like that in Sweden
Take advantage of what the night life has to offer? Aren't you 20, just as me?
I drank alcohol on the cruise everyday, but when in the states - it was alot harder to get it.
+10000
Pictures?
I'll upload them on facebook asap, but right now I'm really sick and have been lying in bed at my parents house since we got here. (Probably my body telling me to not go back to Sweden...)
