Well a lot of the albums mentioned are classics and a good cross section of decent metal, most are not really all that accessible for newbies 
I would suggest -
Metallica - Black
Dream Theater - Scenes From a Memory
Iron Maiden - Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
Bruce Dickinson - Best of (Some of it is more accessible than others)
Black Sabbath - Headless Cross (Could be a little too much... but hey Tony Martin is a god)
