I don't rip any of my cds, I think that is stupid, you can just listen to the cd at higher quality. I have alot of downloaded mp3s, however.

I've got a big hard drive. I've got a rather loud CD drive, so it means that I can listen to them without the CD buzzing in my ear. My CD collection is in the other room, so I don't have to keep going back and forth. I can queue up hours of music without having to keep swapping CDs. When I swap CDs it breaks my concentrations (assuming I'm doing something that required my concentration). It reduces the wear on the CD, and I'm not going to get it scratched or scuffed up. It's also more portable, so I can stick a few albums on my USB drive and stick in in my pocket so I can listen to them at work.Blitzkrieg said:I am aware of this.
