That is right; New Headphones Day. I've been stuck using my absolutely craptacular Sony cans for mixing for the last year, and I have finally got something much, much better to use... Behold!

Initial thoughts:

These things sound absolutely fucking incredible. Hell of a lot of spill from them (open back headphones will do that :lol:), but the depth of the sound and the "width" of the soundstage is just incredible.

Apparently there's a 100-300 hour "burn in" before they sound their best, but being so used to terrible 'phones these things have really impressed me already :lol:

Alright, after a week or so of use, and now that the headphone amp has arrived;

Incredible.

The added power going to them really brings out the clarity, and there is an ever so slight bass boost on the amp as well (very slight, IIRC it's either 0.5dB or 1dB) that brings the bass response up to an ever so slightly more punchy level, without becoming overbearing or not accurate (from what I can tell in my limited experience :lol: ). Every time I listen to another track I get shivers... It's wonderful :D
