Great news, just had the e-mail !

Fill your head with "HEAVY METAL THUNDER !"

P.S. Does this make his drumstick from the last London show I caught, more or less valuable ??????????????

...hope this isn't a Saxon farewell tour, unofficially.I mean, why wouldn't Nigel join for the last tour.I hope I'm wrong.

I so wish you had not put that thought in my head :yell::yell::yell:

yes, it is great news that Nigel is back...

I plan on being at the Jaxx show in virginia on 11-3 and following them up to chicago to attend the 11-7 HOB gig... I wonder where or if they will play in between...

(and I do hope this isn't a farewell tour as well- actually I would understand- but just in case, I'm going to be at as many gigs stateside as I can... )

Hey Imp, I will probably follow them as well, starting in New York.I just haven't figured out the travelling in between part yet.I'm not booking any airfare until they post these shows on their site officially.

Saxon will never stop - this is just a great suprise to us all!!

Biff & the lads may slow down a little as time moves on, but I reckon we have at least a couple of new albums to look forward to! Who knows - maybe Nigel will be the official drummer on these, too!!

...Yes that is good news, hope he can bring the 'Unleash the Beast' magic back again... the percussion feels so good on that underrated Saxon-album! Heard it last week again...and thought: "What a great good album is it!!'

I also want to thank Georg Michael for his contribution on the 'Lionheart album' he put in an extra- percusion flavour into the Saxon sound..I know a lot of people may not agree with me but I just felt that at least one should thank him for that, because otherwise we have the same when Fritz left and nobody mentioned his name or thanked him for his in m.o. good work on the albums..
Georg Michael thank you, I did like your percussion on the Lionheart album!!;)

Good news, at least Saxon seems to have a permanent drummer now. I guess his back is better now then?
But I wonder how he will handle Saxon's heavier songs, as Fritz and Jorg are drummers with a much heavier and aggressive style, Nigel is more to the classic rock/metal kind of drumming (can he handle a double bass drum?).
