Nigel G

I have to disagree with you on this one crusader, just listen to "This town rocks"& Alter of The Gods that's some pretty damn good double bass drum work if you ask me.

Good news, at least Saxon seems to have a permanent drummer now. I guess his back is better now then?
But I wonder how he will handle Saxon's heavier songs, as Fritz and Jorg are drummers with a much heavier and aggressive style, Nigel is more to the classic rock/metal kind of drumming (can he handle a double bass drum?).

Me too RicknRoll!! I have to disagree with Crusader because Nigel made a good work in a several Saxon songs including Give Everything You Got, Party Till you Puke and the fantastic Dogs of War groove. He won´t have problems to play Witchfynd General for an exemple...

I saw Jorg Michael last week with Stratovarius and I´m certain that he is not the right tool for the job behind the Saxon drum kit. Nigel can play all Lionheart songs but Jorg can´t play correctly all the Saxon songs. I have tons of bootlegs by Lionheart tour and Jorg played a horrible drum versions for The Eagle has Landed and Strong Arm of the Law. He is the right drummer for Stratovarius only with the same groove all the time... :yuk:

It´s just my humble opinion!
Saxon rules!

Sorry lads, forgot that one :) I'm sure he'll do a great job. But, it was 15 years since Solid Ball ;)
