Unfortunately, the site is set up so we could only have 12 choices, so when there are five people arguing over what 12 bands should go in there, it's a little difficult to pick every single amazing album this year.

I don't think the list is pathetic at all. I think it is definitely lacking in the metal department, but in my opinion there weren't a whole bunch of great metal albums that stick out to me this year more then some of the ones I specifically chose to be on the list (Beloved, Chimaira, MH). Like I said, my favorite album wasn't even listed. But anyway, thanks for your interest.

Honestly, there isn't any amount of sarcasm that's going to get to me, probably because I am one of the most sarcastic assholes you'll ever meet.
