Hey! Up here in Minnesota I just heard a rumor, quote "rumor", that Slipknot was breaking up. They were gonna play at the local metal show this Summer, and now have pulled out. A DJ at 93X, who I know, and that is good friends with the band, called there manager, and he said they were done. Anyone heard anything like this? I wonder if there is any truth to it, or if he is full of shit.

....they were always cancelling tours/shows. In the last 3 years, I've had to return tix 3 times. The only show they came thru on was Ozzfest, and Manson blew 'em away...... I hope they continue though.

I have heard that due to several side projects the many members of SlipKnot are involved in, that they will indeed break up! I have also heard that this does not rule out a third album, but the third album would be their last if it happens, this is just what I heard, but I'm in Utah for gods sake! Sad to say, but if I heard that out here, then there may be some truth to it!

this would be good as maybe the members will get rid of the gimmick side and start to play the underground style of metal that they claim they like so much.
