Anyone been to any non-metal shows lately or going to any coming up?
The only upcoming show I currently have tickets to is Patti Smith. More my girlfriend's thing, but a few songs are starting to grow on me. edit: my relationship went on hold and after 2 years of postponements Patti's tour was finally cancelled. Fuck.
As with metal, I see too many local bands to mention, but the major non-metal acts I enjoyed in the past 12 months were Wu-Tang Clan, Merzbow, Gang of Four, Cockney Rejects and Earthless. I also saw Drab Majesty, but only because some friends were supporting.
Was pretty insane seeing Merzbow in Melbourne at a venue much bigger and louder than what he's played in NZ:
