Noooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

NOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!!!!!

Guns N' Roses are headlining the Sunday at Donington and I'm in Dublin seeing Metallica!!! Why couldn't it have been the Friday so I could have seen them!!! I know it's the "new" GNR but it's still them and I could have seen them playing some of my favourite songs!!! No, no, no this is not fair!!!

I'd rather remember the GNR of 1987... I saw Axl getting all winded during that ill conceived performance at the Video Music Awards, and it made me really sad... :( ... I'd rather see 'Tallica... I have to say I was really excited to hear that Rubin is producing their next record. It was about time for them to dump Bob Rock... ugh!

isnt this just a bloated Axl with a back-up band?

That would be like Bono going on stage with 3 other guys and calling themselves U2.....only not as much of a wash-out as Mr. Rose.

Isn't Scotland where they cloned the first goat?

Hmmm.....

.

It was a sheep actually, called Dolly. I don't even know if it was Scotland! Very random anyways!!

I know it's not the REAL GNR but it's still Axl and I was a big fan of his back in the day. Then that could be another one crossed off the list of my favourite bands seen live. I can't complete my top ten tho.

1. Metallica (6 times another 2 in the summer)
2. Megadeth (twice)
3. Iron Maiden (once)
4. Guns N' Roses (never)
5. Motley Crue (never)
6. Phantom Blue (never)
7. HIM (once and again in April)
8. Bon Jovi (never, but will in June)
9. Anthrax (once and again in April)
10. The Eagles (never but will in June)

That is a tough decision both bands are equally shitty these days I dont know which I would rather see the least.

Don;t fret too much, Jenna.

I would much rather see the Crue than what is being passed off for GnR these days. I know you like Axl, but dude has lost it.

Me too, so I'm hoping and praying that they play the Saturday so I can see them!!! I totally agree, the guy's a nutcase but he's still got a good voice from what I've heard of the new tracks and it's still Axl Rose!

Jenna, I have a true story about a Crue concert I was at. My brother was there with me, but to this day he still doesn't believe it because he didn't see it.

In 1999, I think, my brother and I saw them open up for the Scorpions in Fres-hell in an all ages show. The all ages part is important to note because Fresno, unlike the rest of decadent metropolitan California :)D) is relatively conservative.

The Crue played one of their newer songs, so my brother used that as an excuse to go take a whiz. Just as he left, the dancers on stage took off their tops, and each strapped on a dildo. Then they proceeded to cover each other in whipped cream and lick it off of each other's nude breasts and strapped-on dildos. They finished the songs with mock penetration of each other with the dildos. And this was at an all ages show in a conservative city!

My brother came back after the song was over and I told him what he missed. He still doesn't believe it to this day. :D

Erm...nice!!!! o_O Seems a bit stupid to do that at an all ages show tho.

Y'know, I don't know why they do shit like that anyway cos I would say that the majority of their fanbase is female and I don't know about any other female Motley fans but I don't want to see stuff like that thanks!!! I'm there for the music and that alone. If I wanted to see crap like that I would watch a porn film.

Well, me being a single guy (at the time) with a healthy sexual appetite, I had no problem with it, and in fact, I kind of expect antics like that from Motley Crue. :D However, I can only imagine how many parents were appalled knowing their children were seeing that. I saw a lot of children at that show. I remember thinking to myself as the concert began how cool it was to see parents with their kids at a rock concert instead of just a bunch of old geezers or mostly teenagers you see at most metal and rock shows, depending on the career status of the band.

It is only to be expected from the Crue isn't it. ;)

I was the same when I saw Maiden, shows that parents do teach their kids about good music!

Jenna, I read today that Motley Crue will not be playing in Dublin. I am not sure if it was originally just a rumor passed as fact, or if the band cancelled, but the fact is they won't be playing there. So, you can feel better knowing you'll be missing the Dublin gig. :D

I read that on another board as well, thanks! I'm quite relieved about that, but there's still the rumours of them playing the Sunday at Donington which would be worse cos I have a ticket for it!! I hope they either play the Friday or Saturday then!!! PLEASE GOD LET THEM PLAY THEN!!!!!!

The point I was driving at was that you should pop on down to your local Clone-Mart and explain your situation. I'm sure you would be able to arrange something.

:D
