as stated, it's not exactly metal, but I've changed the way I record and mix pretty drastically and I'm curious on what you guys think. this is a song I threw together in an evening. no vocals yet.

Sounds really good dude! Nice soungwriting btw. I would make those guitars a bit brighter but I always like bright guitars haha

thanks a lot man! I usually like brighter guitars as well, but for think kind of mix, and style of music, I went with a more midrangy sound. In case you wanna hear another one, here is another song with pretty much the same mix/processing/etc.

at first it seemed like there is a little too much lower mids in the guitars for me, but then i kept listening, and it fit really well with everything in the song. very well done.
