It is a shame that you wont be showing up on PDOL (Piteå Dansar Och Ler) :erk:

The 2 "little good" metal band that will be there is In Flames and Stratovarius. I would change them 2 for you at anytime for anycost :D

But Piteå aint very big compared to Milan in Italy, but if you prefer to visit the people in Italy instead of your trusted fans in little cold sweden that is your decision.

There's still a small small small hope for a gig in Sweden at least. There's a "secret" band on the metal day coming up during Göteborgskalaset. The other bands are Cult of Luna, Evergrey, plus that local 'german' band with a tool drop-resembling name.

I bet the last band is Dark Tranquillity, The Haunted, Hypocrisy or even At The Gates reunited and stronger than ever. Or hell, it might be Elvis...

I'm sure the people in Italy can be as trusted fans as the swedish ones. :Smug:

We'd love to play at PDOL, and lots of other festivals here in Sweden, but without an offer from the promotors, there isn't much we can do.

Bands usually don't decide themselves where to play; they have a management or a booking agent whose job is to fix as many gigs as possible, but the competition is very hard and most festivals of this kind (with artists from all kinds of different genres of music) rarely include more than 2-3 metal bands. Needless to say, there are a lot of metal bands in Sweden to chose from, and for obvious reasons the festivals are likely to pick bands that are among the absolute top sellers at the given time.

A band not showing up at a specific festival doesn't mean that they wouldn't like to play there. Just about every band in Scandinavia would probably love playing at the Roskilde festival, for example, but the fact that 99.99999% of them won't be doing so this year doesn't necessarly mean that they hate Denmark or that they "chose" to play somewhere else instead.

I can't see how us playing a festival at a certain place can be seen as an indication that we wouldn't want to play elsewhere as well. By this logic, we shouldn't accept any gig offers at all since it'd imply to people living elesewhere that we don't care about them.

Anyway, sorry for ranting. Let's hope that there will be more festivals of all sorts coming up soon :)

Damn those bastards in Piteå for not booking DT, then! Then I could've seen them this summer... going to the south of sweden is a bit too expensive for me at the moment :erk:

Neither me can get to the south :\

I will give the crew on PDOl a personal kick in the butt :tickled:

Just a OT question: If i want to order your T-shirt, should i send 150SEK in a mail to that adresse that are on the page. It sounds a little unsecure to me. I dont know why you dont fix the orders with "postförskott", it should be SO much more easy and comfortable.

PS. Your best album is Projector

I saw IF, Haunted and Opeth on Hultsfred. That was a nice mix. DT would have been better than any of them though... damnit, stupid promotors...
