so im just throwin this out there...there may or may not be any significance to the question but figured id ask anyway...i tracked a song a few weeks ago...did some mixing to it got it to sound fairly decent (after listening now though i realized it sounds like shit) but then i just tracked another song a few days ago...same guitars,equipment,presets, everything was the exact same...i just took a listen to the raw track and somehow it sounds alot like the track i just mixed...so i go to the other song...disable everything and listen to the raw track and theres no similiarities whatsoever...so my question is, with all seriousness (and im reallly hoping this doesnt turn into a how do mix drums type thread lol) is it possible for there to be that drastic of a difference in the original sounds going in, even using the exact same gear and settings? Or am i just that bad at mixing?
