I have liked this band for about 10 years. First Doom metal i really got into.

Great band who have definitely been getting better with age. first few albums were shaky, but the last 3 have been awesome. a slightly more aggressive Katatonia.

I bought one of their albums a few years ago - I think it was "dreams" something - and I didn't like it. I don't hate this style of metal but I didn't think this album was a good example. If they've improved since then I would re-investigate.

Materia is really hard to get at a decent price though. By decent I mean less than $15.

yeah i hear you on that! some Peaceville titles don't get US distro so places like Relapse have to import them in and thus a higher price. hopefully you can locate it at least preview it first to see if you like it enough.
