Samples of all the songs! I got a promo today, and can't wait to get my hands on the real thing in a couple weeks! I haven't really paid close attention to it yet, but it was definitely good and certainly gives the new Katatonia a run for its money...since I haven't paid close attention to it I can't say if it's better, but I won't be at all surprised if I end up liking it more. It's lighter than their previous stuff (well, Wish I could Dream it Again/Dreams D'Azur, Classica, and Novembrine Waltz anyway, it's harder than Arte Novecento). There are hardly any growls at all, and it definitely hearkens back to "arte novecento" now and then (their second album). The beginning of "Comedia" certainly blew my face off, though...they seriously have one of the best drummers in metal. He's just nearly unheard of. Anyway, the album is fairly gorgeous and is the best sounding and most layered of any of their albums, which is really an achievement when you take into account the fact they released Novembrine Waltz.
Novembre are definitely in my top 5 favorite bands, I LOVE all their albums (even though there are a few clunkers on WICDIA/DDA, Classica, and Arte

). I definitely recommend that everyone pick this up, they're a flat-out incredible band and get almost NO exposure (their last albums never were released in the US besides maybe Dreams D'Azur, and ALL of them are out of print now!). And just a warning, I hear they're not very good live! This would make sense cause their stuff is very, very heavily layered on album with tons of overdubs (and the singer has been known to be very out of tune live hohohoho).
