Okay, first of all, this isn't so serious now, but i think i got the mix to another level and tried to fuck around with it a bit. I think the mix gets a bit muddy on the "faster" parts but tweak tweak! What do you think? ^^ Feedback would be grrrrrrrreat now! Cheers!

EDIT: very low quality peek to rough sketch vocals, quality is clipping but i just don't care as the final will sound better. Just doing it more interesting -> http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7606286/räkärkä.mp3

Well thank you very muchos!! Glad that you liked it. :) I can't wait to get my friends vocals on it and the song to it's complete force. Leads and all. This version is after all a quick sew of a few riffs. ^^

U should see olas tutorial to the bass, i lurked it and it worked for me at least! Great dude. Here

But the bass is 3 tracks. DI, AMP, Chorus. Then it's routed to a one buss and another buss that does the parallel compression thingamajig. That and the olas tutorial. Oh and the distortion (that is used veeeeeeery little) is Lepous LextaC Eriks also a god so nothing less to expect from him :D

And the bass is still not there, needs more compression on the sub/DI ?

Not that I know exactly what to do,bass is the trickiest thing to get right.

I love that tutorial  Thanks for the info. I'll have to try chorus on the bass, I haven't done that yet.

Do you compress really hard with the first compressor and then hit it lighter in parallel? I have been staging 2 comps on the DI track or ampsim track and haven't quite got the sound I'm looking for. I use LeCto for the distortion track, but will be trying my Tremoverb for that soon.

Back on topic...love the song and can't wait to hear vox!

Yeah, i overkill the bass di track basically. can't put more compression on it :D
Got to hrry the singer up. A bit different material to do for me, very excited about it :)
