Now THAT'S a fucking good business concept...

I would enjoy some of this lineup, especially Amon Amarth. That has to be a dream come true for the bands, getting paid to go on a cruise and play their music?

damn.

On one hand... a cruise ship is the last place I'd want to be surrounded by nothing but metalheads.

On the other hand, this event does sound pretty awesome

I hope it looks just like that.

The lineup is pretty shit so far, but a complete metalhead cruise? If I had a grand and a half to spare, I'd be down to hell with that. The all-inclusive packages don't include alcohol though... Dicks.

The original post mentioned nothing about them, as a matter of fact he said the lineup is shit so far.

So my comment stands, these types of cruises are old news.

Well sodom and finntroll are saving the lineup for me at the moment, but yeah... It's mostly shit.

Yeah I remember Opeth doing a boat/cruise festival a few years ago. I'd love to experience such a thing!

That was the Melloboat in '08. Great line-up:

We've had the "Metal Cruise" on the Rhine since 2007 here now. With bands like Sodom (apparently they like playing on boats), Primordial, Melechesh, Desaster etc. So no MTV-metal.... good times.
