NUCLEAR ASSAULT bassist Danny Lilker has offered the following studio update at the band's website:

"Hi everybody, as of August 9th, 2003, we are deep into the recording of our first studio album in over ten years. Over the last week we’ve recorded all the backing tracks here in Manchester, New Hampshire at the studio of Tim Koukos, head of Screaming Ferret Wreckords. All that is left is some lead guitar work and mixing. I can tell you now that anyone who enjoyed the thrash metal stylings of Nuclear Assault in the late 80’s will definitely dig the hell out of the new material. Some of these songs were actually written by John after the band broke up in the early 90’s, and some songs are brand new. Soundwise and attitude-wise, we are back like a motherfucker. An album title is still under consideration at the moment.

Those of you in Europe going to the Bonded By Metal Over Europe tour in October (more info at www.metallysee.com) will get to hear a few new songs that we’ll throw in the live set to (finally!) spice it up a little. We hope to have a release early next year so we can do some extensive worldwide touring to support it. We aim to return to Japan, and visit Australia (and maybe even New Zealand) for the first time as well. That’s all for now, except to say thanks again to all the metal freaks out there for your rabid enthusiasm! Your patience will be rewarded."
