Nuendo and midi tracks

^Neither could I.

I did a project a while back, and tried importing some midi into Nuendo, but couldn't figure out why it wasn't importing. After dicking around for like 45 minutes, I scrolled all the way down to the bottom of the page and there were like 8 midi tracks, all the stuff I imported but couldn't figure out where they were.

Hmmm.. sounds weird as well.

Mendeldarm, try opening a project file which you are sure of it contains MIDI tracks you once used for a song in that project file, perhaps it loads those settings and keeps those setting for further projects, just like it does with the windows in nuendo.

speaking of midi and nuendo (and yes i know about system timestamp setting!)

when you record a midi part from a keyboard, edit that midi part (quantize it or something), then send it back out to the keyboard and record the audio
why is it always just a "hair" off

i analyzed the crap out of a particular part and it looked as if it was playing the first note late and the rest of the notes on time?

am i going nuts here, or this just not an exact science (small timing issues just occur).

I think I found out the reason:

It worked before, how should it not work now ?

Check your MIDI connections.

And to answer your question how I recogniced the dongle emulator icon: I used a legit version of Cubase SX3 when I was working as a trainee at Studio Harju in 2007, and I got the cracked version home so I would learn how to use it. I've never made a dime with the cracked version, I've only used it for self-educational purposes. I'm waiting for the summer vacation to start so I can go to work (too busy learning Pro tools HD at uni), so I'll buy the version 5, but I'm still waiting for it to be stable enough before I buy it.
