Nutty 4/4, 3/4 21/16 riffage (New Mixing Style)

Yo,

I was riffing away when this nutty assed thing came into my head, it's 4/4 to start with, then goes into a 1bar passage of 21/16 and then it swaps between 4/4 and 3/4 randomly (but not randomly, I just can't remember the exact places off the top of my head).

It's really weird for me, so please don't listen to it with a sense of "ok, I'm expecting Meshuggah Polyrhythms" etc as it's probably not THAT nutty to people constantly listening to bands with wierd time sigs.. but hey it wasn't a competition :D.

I hope you can enjoy it, it was a real wierd one to learn (I played off the top of my head, then had to go back and learn what I'd just played to match it again etc)

The main purpose of it was to test out my new mixing tips which I learned from Ola. He has some killer videos up on the tube letting you see how he mixes etc.

So thanks man! I commend you for helping me take another step forward in my mixing ability.

Joe

(Sound Cloud gives you the full (I think..it definitely sounds like it) HQ of the original file and loads stupidly quickly.. so for you time keepers you will benefit better from heading to the Sound Cloud as it gives you the same quality as the Dropbox file I would of used and it loads quicker (streams pretty much instantly)

however here is the Dropbox for those who wish not to venture out of the woods.

Enjoy!!

PS - To anyone who uses the Sound Cloud you can also compare it to the old mix by looking to the right of the main player, you'll see a list called "more tracks by" just click the play button on Track 6 Mix and then you can swap between the side player and main player instantly to compare them, handy eh? :D
