just saw a clip on the news,i had to laugh when they showed the orchestra, they all had face paint on!!!!

All the newspapers said it was great though! I can't wait to see this on DVD or PPV, a 60 piece orchestra doing "King of the Night Time World" is gonna rule. It will also be nice to hear "Beth" w/ real live background music, instead of the tape they've been using for 27 years.

At this point in their career it was the coolest thing they could have done. Some people will say "Metallica done did it" (sic) but there isn't any copyright on using an orchestra. This is the same orchestra Elton John and Tony Bennett used, so KISS are a step ahead of Metallica LOL. Anyway, I was wondering what they would do to prompt interest in possible "30th Anniversary Tour" and from what I've read, the show was awesome. US viewers will eat it up on PPV and on DVD. The set-list was stellar. Some real rare gems were pulled out. I just wish Ace would have showed up. He says he's "working on a solo album." Which is code for "snorting coke and drinking booze w/ Dimebag Darrell."

Metallica's songs are quite a bit more complex and darker then Kiss's and seem like they'd gel with an orchestra better. I can't wait to check it out though. At lest Kiss is doing something a little diffrent for a change.
