O/T Mastodon - Blood Mountain

Picked this up the other day and I gotta say I'm impressed. It's a progression on from their last record and it kicks a lot of arse.

Very heavy, very cool riffs - I like.

Yeah, that is them. The lead guitarist/singer is Erik Burke. He spent some time in Nuclear Assault a while back. He is from Rochester too. Currently in Sulaco. Awesome guitarist.

First listen not too bad, second listen didn't progress any, and I haven't dug it out since. Altogether though, not bad at all. Will give it a few more listens I'd imagine.
