Obituary are back!

I agree that no one sounds like Obituary and that it would be good to have them around again for that reason. No bands seemed to really be influenced by them a lot for some reason. Almost all modern death metal bands are of the brutal/technical variety with ceaseless blastbeats and hyperspeed riffing. I love this style of dm, but sometimes I want to listen to something slower and different.

Great news. Now as long as they release something along the lines of Cause of Death I will be a very happy camper! I thought Back From The Dead was their worst album ever which really bummed me out. Hopefully they can come back and kick ass again. Yeah, the music is pretty simplistic, but Obituary sounds like NO ONE else and that is all thanks to EEEJOHHHHN TARDYYYYYY!!! Best "band getting back together" news I've heard in a long time.
