Obscure 80's & 90's Metal

Anybody remember this band from the early eighties? More hard rock than metal.

I really like Heretic's "Breaking Point." It was Metal Church's second singer's (Mike Howe) first recording band. It was also produced by Metal Church's Kurdt vanderhoof. Given those circumstances, it is no surprise they sound similar to the mighty Metal Church.

I always pimp these guys when I get a chance. One of my favorite bands that I grew up listening to. These are a few of my favorite cuts.

Was never a big Black Oak Arkansas fan but this song was pretty good. What's odd is the song on the album is actually slower than the one used in the video. I first heard about this on a Compilation CD, I want to say Metal Treasures & Vinyl Heavies. (I'll apologize in advance for the quality of this video)

The 2nd was from the singer of Riot, Rhett Forrester. Great great tune on one of his solo releases.

The 3rd was from guitarist Rick Santers who had a small hit with this release Racing Time.

The last was from the British band Samson who featured future Iron Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson.

Seventh Omen
Kind of an earlyish (around Rust) Megadeth vibe going on.

How about Reverened? After David Wayne was removed from Metal Church, he took some of the members from Heretic and formed Reverend.
