I don't know, is it just me, or is this one of the most mundane, boring death metal release of 2004? They are competent musicians, there's just nothing exciting about the material. Hell, even the fucking packaging is boring as can be! Lots of groove oriented, double bass, and plenty of raspy, run of the mill vocals. To think that this band once featured ex-SINISTER vocalist Rachel in their ranks. Yeah, the same Rachel who brought us Creative Killings. Maybe that's why my hopes were so high for Elegy Of The Weak, unfortunately, Maurice's vocals don't even come close to Rachel's.
A semi-cool riff beginning "Slaughtering The Pigs" prevents me from just totally tossing this to the wolves; that, an occassional riff and a decent production.
